The Position

A Project Electrician is a specialized electrical professional responsible for overseeing and managing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs within construction projects. They ensure that electrical systems are installed correctly, meet project specifications, adhere to safety standards, and are completed on time and within budget.

Performance Objectives

• Demonstrate expertise in interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, and specifications for commercial projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Efficiently execute electrical installation tasks according to project schedules and deadlines.
• Ensure that all electrical installations comply with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Adhere to electrical safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, arc flash protection, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Efficiently manage resources such as materials, equipment, and manpower to optimize project outcomes and meet project objectives.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, including maintaining a neat appearance, being punctual, and displaying a positive attitude.

Capabilities/Key Competencies

• Proven experience as in the commercial industry.
• Familiarity with phone operating systems (iOS, Android)
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an Electrical technical program or registered apprenticeship
• Proven experience as an Electrical service technician, with a strong understanding of electrical systems
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and installations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Education & Experience

• Experience in the mechanical/electrical industry in a commercial setting
• Journeyperson certificate and/or active registration to an accredited apprenticeship program

Working Conditions

• This position performs work outside the office environment and may be subject to heat, cold, noise and other environmental factors.
• This position may require working in awkward body positions including climbing, kneeling, reaching, etc.
• Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
• Must be able to work on out-of-town jobs as required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.74-$42.90 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
