Job Description:
We are seeking a Radio Communications Technician Team Lead in Terrace, BC. This role requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mechanical skills. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in electronics or wireless engineering, along with direct hands-on experience in testing, installing, programming, and repairing wireless and electronic communication equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining wireless and electronic communication systems.
- Skillfully installing and programming a range of communication equipment, including portable and mobile radios.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field, or a Bachelor's degree in Electronics.
- At least 5 years of direct industry experience in the field of wireless and electronic communications.
Requirements:
- Valid Canadian Class 5 driver's license with a clean record.
- Ability to pass regular drug and alcohol testing for site access.
- Ability to provide a criminal record check.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on communications-related experience working with conventional, trunking, and P25 systems in industrial environments
- Experience working with portable and mobile radio equipment with basic diagnostic and radio programming
- Experience installing radio and communications related equipment on light and heavy-duty vehicles
- Knowledge of hand and power tools, test equipment and design/fabrication techniques
