Equipment Operator/Loader

Equipment Operator: We are looking for multiple Equipment Operators in Fort McMurray min 1 yrs of Oil sands Experience. These individuals will report directly to the Site Superintendent. Qualified candidates must have experience working at the site and have all of the certificates listed below.

Responsibilities:

• Operating equipment: Front-end loader, zoom boom Rubber Backhoe and Excavator.
• Conduct various ground labor duties including clean-up
• Follow Safe procedures
• Perform work and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, company and site policies/procedures
• Ensure all equipment is safely and securely stored;
• Working in the industrial setting, working under permit experience preferred
• Work well with others in a team atmosphere;
• Able to accept change in priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• Provide manual labor services as and when required
• Other duties as required by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications:

• OSSA Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
• Intermediate Wildlife Awareness (Classroom-based course)
• WHMIS 2015
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Heavy Commercial, Industrial or Oil Gas sector
• H2S Alive
• Warehouse Experience is an asset
• Ability to successfully obtain clearance of a Pre-access Alcohol & Drug Screening test

Equipment certification and experience in the following:

• Front End Loader
• Excavator
• Zoom Boom
• Rubber Backhoe

Other tickets/certifications may be required (depending on Site Assignment):

• H2S Alive
• CSO
• Common Safety Orientation
• Excavator
• Loader

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Salary: From $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay
