Your Primary Role: As a pivotal member of our sales team, you will be the architect of our client's event experiences.
Your role involves:
- Engaging clients from first contact to final agreement, specializing in both corporate and social events.
- Guiding clients through the venue selection process with ease and expertise.
- Responding rapidly and exceeding expectations with every lead.
- Creating attractive and well thought out sales proposals.
- Working closely and collaboratively with our FOH and BOH teams.
- Navigating contract negotiations with finesse.
- Ensuring a smooth transition to the Event Coordinator for flawless event execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving bookings for private events and weddings.
- Responding to event inquiries within a 24-hour window.
- Leading outside sales efforts and proactive lead generation.
- Conducting comprehensive venue tours with potential clients.
- Crafting custom proposals tailored to client needs.
- Communicating venue policies and event details effectively.
- Managing the post-contract process efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate records in Tripleseat.
- Ensuring the integrity of all client documents.
- Monitoring lead conversion rates and maintaining detailed sales trackers.
- Representing Second Floor Events at industry networking events.
- Building and nurturing relationships with Preferred Vendors.
- Collaborating on lead generation strategies with the Director of Sales and Marketing.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and representing our brand at relevant events.
Skills Required:
- Strong sales acumen and customer service orientation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in event management software, preferably Tripleseat, but not required.
- Ability to work flexibly (evenings and weekends as needed) and manage time effectively.
- Strong food and beverage knowledge
- Adept at multitasking and handling various client needs simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the latest trends in the event planning industry.
Compensation:
- A competitive package with a base salary, commission, and bonus.
- Salary range: $45,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and performance.
- Paid vacation. Full benefits after probationary period.
