Event Staff - Concerts

Join our team for a fun season of events at Toronto’s newest outdoor concert venue, The Bowl!

We’re looking to build a roster of concession & hospitality staff to work a variety of positions including Supervisors, Bartenders, Cashiers, Runners and other Concession Staff.

There will be 15-22 concerts taking place primarily on evenings and weekends between May 15 and October 31, 2024.

Job Description:

You will work with your team to provide friendly, timely and accurate service to guests at the concession stands or in the hospitality lounges. You will ensure that proper procedures are followed and customer orders are processed in an efficient and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides excellent customer service and positively engages with all guests.
• Assist in setting up or cleaning up the area you are working.
• Maintains a neat and organized work area.
• Ensure that high-volume business is handled in a professional and efficient manner with the goal of capturing all possible patron business.
• Maintain a high level of familiarity with food and beverage offered as well as any pertinent information on sponsored products.
• Proper and timely reporting of any potential issues or problems to Management.
• Enforce all AGCO regulations regarding the safe service of alcohol.
• Actively check and maintain inventory before, during and after each shift to maximize efficient sales.
• Replenish the stock as needed following each shift.
• Practice teamwork and help out co-workers.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• SmartServe required for the majority of positions.
• Food handlers certification is an asset
• Minimum of 1 year experience working as a bartender and/or in food service is an asset
• Punctual and reliable attendance at all scheduled shifts.
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and professional at all times while working.
• Ability to remain level-headed and resolve challenges and requests in an extremely fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Comfortable with cash management and knowledge of POS systems.
• Able to work flexible hours.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• It is anticipated that the schedule will vary and encompass a range of time frames including late evenings, and weekends.
• The list of event dates for 2024 has not been released yet, however, candidates must have the flexibility to commit to at least 50% of dates once they are set.
