Suncrest College welcomes applications for the position of Facilitator for the Hospitality and Food Service Program in the Skills for Success program. This program will take place at Kamsack, SK. This is a full-time, term position (37.5 hours per week) from March 4, 2024 to May 31, 2024 for a total of 360 hours.
The Opportunity:
This position is primarily responsible for developing, delivering and facilitating the classroom component of the hospitality and Food Services program operating out of Suncrest College in Kamsack, SK. The program goal is to help build workforce skills within students. This Facilitator would also be responsible for consulting with local employers to set up and monitor student work opportunities.
The Hospitality and Food Services program provides for a range of activities that help overcome barriers to employment and develop a range of skills and knowledge in order to participate in the hospitality and food service industries. Students in the Hospitality and Food Service program receive Essential Skills training in life skills/soft skills, and employment readiness. The students also have an opportunity for on-the-job training and acquire industry certifications including First Aid/CPR, Food Safety, Serve It Right, STEC Room attendant training, Service Best, Clean it right, and more!
Requirements:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a two-year post-secondary diploma or equivalent in Human or Social Services or Behavioral Sciences field or a journeyperson trade certificate.
- The minimum amount of practical, related experience required to perform the duties of this position is two years.
