Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Facilities Maintenance position is accountable for an array of basic maintenance and housekeeping duties. Working as part of a team dedicated to process improvement and long-term success for the County, this role requires an internal and external customer service focussed professional with attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Respond to facility maintenance requests, such as: replacing lights, basic plumbing, building office furniture and shelving, painting walls/fences, etc.
2. Respond to basic housekeeping items such as: shovelling snow, moving office furniture, collecting waste from various County facilities/parks, posting signage at various facilities/parks, mowing, etc.
3. Coordinate with external contractors such as HVAC, electricians, and locksmiths.
4. Perform coverage for Utilities Technician as required such as water quality tests, respond to system alarms, small repairs, etc.
5. Perform coverage for airport duties as required such as checking runway condition, testing Avgas quality, etc.
6. Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one (1) year of related experience
- Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work alone
- Preference will be given to those with Small Systems Certification for Water and Wastewater

Salary: $60,479.00-$70,752.00 per year
