Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for providing a clean, safe and secure environment for Town facility users, following established standards.
This position is a part-time role requiring 12 – 15 hours per week of work, mostly during evenings and weekends
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Cleaning areas of facilities as assigned, following the cleaning standards established for the facility and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.
- Checking facilities after bookings for required cleaning and potential damage or misuse and following standard reporting procedure for any concerns.
- Assisting with facility setup and takedowns for events and bookings as assigned.
- Identify and report maintenance and repair requirements.
- Safely operate a variety of powered equipment such as floor cleaning machines.
- Providing excellent customer service to facilities patrons and staff, including opening and closing facilities and ensuring users are adequately monitored and supported.
You Have:
- A minimum of six months’ experience working in a custodial, building maintenance, or related area, involving interaction with the public
- Valid class 5 driver’s licence with reliable transportation to access facilities on time as scheduled
- Able to obtain First Aid, CPR and WHMIS certification
- Able to perform physical labour as required by the position
- Able to obtain clean RCMP Security and Vulnerable Sector Check.
