Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for providing a clean, safe and secure environment for Town facility users, following established standards.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Minor, preventative and emergency maintenance and repairs to equipment and facilities.
- Custodial duties of facilities, ensuring facilities are maintained at a high level of cleanliness and safety for patrons, and verification of cleanliness and potential damage after use.
- Verify and test the operation of mechanical systems and equipment as assigned.
- Identify and report major maintenance and repair requirements.
- Safely operate all motorized equipment and vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service to facilities patrons and staff, including opening and closing facilities and ensuring users are adequately monitored and supported.
Your Qualifications Include:
- One year experience working in building maintenance, preferably in a municipal environment
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid class 5 driver’s licence
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- Able to perform physical labour as required by the position
- Willing to work toward obtaining certification as Pool and Arena Operator and Building Maintenance (Levels 1 and 2)
- Able to obtain a clean RCMP Security and Vulnerable Sector Check.
