Our goal at Dr. Bee is to provide people with natural health products and food goods of excellent quality, purity, and effectiveness by sharing the treasures of the beehive. We began with 16 hives in 1996 and have grown into one of the most well-respected honey bee product producers & purveyors in Canada.

About the Position

We are looking for 2 full-time Farm Workers at our Pitt Meadows Farm. This position starts immediately with approximately 40 hours of work per week. You primary responsibilities are beekeeping, farming, and landscaping.

Responsibilities

Blueberry Farming

• Weed control
• Pruning Blueberry Bushes
• Applying Fertilizer
• Record daily harvest
• Weighing, sorting, processing and packing blueberries

Beekeeping

• Assist in basic bee hive maintenance
• Harvesting and extracting honey, filling and packing honey and hive products
• Manufacturing, assembling and maintaining beekeeping equipment
• Assist in moving hives and bee yard maintenance

Requirements

• Experience operating small engine equipment such as: power washer, leaf blower, farm tractor, lawnmower, garden tiller
• Experience with crop farming
• Experience with blueberry farming highly preferred
• In good physical condition and comfortable working outside in any weather
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence

Compensation/Benefits

• Starting wage $18-20+ based on experience
