POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the management of BIOREM’s service department. The successful candidate will have business unit responsibility to manage the successful installation, commissioning, and performance verification of BIOREM air pollution control systems. Growth in aftermarket sales consisting of ancillary equipment, consumables and engineering/technical services is a key area of responsibility. Position requires extensive travel in the Canada, US and worldwide as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
· Coordinate all field activities for the sales and the project management teams to ensure on time, quality service is provided to all stakeholders
· Train internal staff and service partners in servicing BIOREM equipment.
· Build a team responsible for working with sales, engineering, and operations to determine service part needs and coordinate field repairs.
· Communicate with clients to develop schedules and answer technical questions about installation of air pollution control equipment.
· Lead a wide variety of field inspections, checks and tests of equipment, verifying equipment installation as per P&ID, electrical and mechanical drawings.
· Commission and service full-scale BIOREM air pollution control products.
· Coordinate and provide in-class and hands on operator training on BIOREM air pollution control systems.
· Manage site work by external subtrades as required.
· Monitor and troubleshoot critical equipment and instrumentation, documenting recommendations for improvement to develop performance improvement programs.
· Provide technical support through onsite service calls or telephone assistance.
· Be able to review, troubleshoot and report on complex customer technical issues.
· Be able to assess and develop complex system upgrades and retrofitting of BIOREM systems for existing customers.
· Be responsible for staff who are the primary point of contact for all service issues
· Write and update new procedures (SOPs) as necessary for service functions.
· Ensure all safety procedures are implemented and followed when performing on-site work.
· Be responsible for meeting company after market sales targets and reporting to upper management.
· Travel within Canada, US and worldwide as required.

· Ability to write routine and complex field reports to effectively relay information to customers and internal parties.
· Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time with a willingness to travel extensively to service BIOREM systems worldwide and work extra when required to meet deadlines.
· Proactively work on problems of diverse scope in which independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
· Mechanically inclined with ability to interpret, analyze, understand, and implement information from technical drawings and literature.
· Excellent time-management skills, ability to work independently and within a team structure.
· Ability to manage service-related projects as required.
· Ability to understand and communicate in French and/or Spanish is an asset.
Education and Work Experience
· Requires a university/college degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years in-field experience required.
· Experience in managing a technical team is critical.
· Familiarity with fans, blowers, pumps, controls and instrumentation is critical.
· Familiarity with waste water processes and municipal project delivery frameworks is an asset.
Environmental Factors
· Exposure to noise.
· Mechanical hazards such as moving vehicles, moving belts; other conditions associated with a construction site or an industrial environment.
· Understanding and adherence to site specific health and safety protocols including head, foot, and eye protection as necessary.
· Familiarity with OSHA protocols is necessary to work safety.
Certificates and Licenses Required
· Valid driver's license.
· Valid passport.
