- Pay is salary based on a 40-hour week. All excess hours are overtime.
- Overtime is frequent and required. You can expect roughly 35 to 50% of your annual salary as overtime. $80 to $100, 000 per year is not uncommon plus the vehicle benefit.
- All expenses are covered by Checkpoint. You pay for all hotels, flights, meals etc. You submit your expense report, and all monies are returned and deposited into your bank account within 5 business days.
- No Per-diem is issued. We pay actual expense for meals with a generous meal program while working out of town overnight.
- Rental cars need to be booked on our corporate account.
- Overnight work is required at times.
- Early starts may be required to get to job sites on time.
- Monday to Friday, an occasional Saturday might be required although rare.
- Frequent travel across Canada is required. Sometimes a week at a time.
- Casual work attire, company work shirts provided.
- Steel toe safety work boots required with replacement annually up to $200. If no boots to start, we will reimburse you.

Duties:
· Install, configure, and maintain anti-theft (EAS) shoplifting solutions in retail stores
· Troubleshoot and resolve environmental problems
· Pull wire free run through ceilings and walls
· Install wire in floor cuts refilling cut once complete
· Network configuration and data testing for network customers
· Climbing and carrying step ladders up to 14 feet tall – average 10 to 12 feet
· Using elevated work platforms up to 19 feet – certification training provided
· Safely use tools such as hammer drill, concrete saw, cordless tools, hand tools etc.
· Taking care of all company assets including tools provided
· Conduct regular maintenance for service contract clients
· Maintain professional decorum internally and externally
· Utilize dispatch software updating jobs with proper notes
· Process RMAs for equipment to be returned while on-site
· Update electronic time sheets with function changes throughout the day
· Communicate with dispatch and planners effectively
· Operate and maintain company supplied vehicle
Qualifications:
· Mechanically inclined
· Ability to lift 60 to 80 lbs.
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Ability to think about and process alternative solutions when required
· Ability to work independently
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Experience in computer networking
Must be a Canadian Citizen or have a valid work permit. No sponsorship available.
