Daily Responsibilities & How You’ll Succeed
- Install printers and provide technical assistance with computer software pertaining to printer installations
- Resolve issues for clients via phone, in person, email, or remote login
- Recommend hardware and software improvements for optimal printer functionality
- Track customer issues and resolutions
- Qualifications:
- Previous experience in IT required, preferably knowledge on printer installation
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills; willingness to learn
- Printer/copier and laptop/desktop experience, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
- Knowledge of using diagnostic tools, service aids, and product schematics, to assess and resolve equipment and system failures
- Ability to maintain and complete accurate record keeping and processing of paperwork.
- We work in a team and you will have remote support, but you must be able to work independently when on customer location
- Vehicle for printer transportation, phone, and laptop provided - must have valid driver's license. You will be required to travel. Although most of the job will be in Ottawa/Gatineau /Pembroke - sometimes you may be asked to go to Cornwall or Kingston for example.
- Travel expenses will be covered (ie. company car, gas and insurance)
Requirements (if you’ve got these, we want to speak with you)
- Valid driver’s license (we provide a vehicle)
- Excellent people skills! You love meeting new people and can easily establish relationships
- You’ve got computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- A College diploma or University degree would be great but are not required
- 5-years of previous technical experience with printing and IT
- English fluency is mandatory, and you must be eligible to work in Canada
