Detritus Consulting is hiring Field Technicians for work with our Hamilton area crews. We are seeking to employ people with an interest in historical and Indigenous archaeology. Responsibilities include: archaeological survey, excavation and artifact collection. Tasks include: walking while scanning for artifacts, digging and screening soil and data recording etc. Candidates should have their own mode of transport. Job sites include Hamilton, Brant, Haldimand and parts of the Niagara peninsula. Candidates should be physically fit and enjoy working outdoors. Green patch safety boots are required but all other field equipment will be provided. Experience is not necessary but preference will be given to those with experience in archaeology or fields with similar working environments such as landscaping, construction or environmental work.
