Role Description:
Cold Bore Technology is seeking a Field Technician to join our rapidly growing Field Operations team in Alberta, Canada (primarily Grande Prairie & Dawson Creek area). Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing expertise, advice, troubleshooting, and training for the SmartPAD™ in the field, and monitoring the frac process while on site. This position is located primarily in Utah. Working in a fast-paced team environment, this role requires a self-motivated individual with a high degree of collaboration and innovation. Responsibilities:
- Rig up and rig down sonic sensors, pressure transducers, valve positioning sensors or any additional sensors for the SmartPAD™ or Intelligent Underground on one or more sites.
- Collect and input status information for every wellhead on location, including but not limited to: Frac, Wireline, Coil, Pump Down, Water, and Sand operations.
- Work as an equal with supervisor of each service line (frac, wireline, pump down, sand, water, etc.), and the customer representative (OSR).
- Interact and educate all personnel on location about the functionality of our systems.
- Troubleshoot connections (serial, TCP/IP, cloud etc.).
- Provide on the job training for new personnel.
- Provide ongoing technical and functional guidance to peers and subordinates.
- Delegate tasks and review the work of others to ensure it meets expectations.
- Administer kit and surface equipment maintenance, such as cleaning cables, sensors, and tablets.
- Complete and record all documentation related to the job, accurately and on time.
- Document and report Hazard IDs, JSAs, Near Miss incidents, and tailgate safety meetings.
- Maintain and use of all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Test and troubleshoot all Cold Bore equipment.
- Oversee and maintain the cleanliness of all wellsite accommodations and the trailer.
- Transport Cold Bore equipment, using either a personal or rental vehicle.
- Operate in a safe and responsible manner and maintain compliance with all safety regulations for each job.
- As a representative of Cold Bore, you must always operate in a professional and courteous manner while striving to exceed expectations.
- Oilfield experience and knowledge of Frac and Completions operations.
- Degree or Diploma in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or relevant post-secondary education is considered an asset.
- Computer networking skills and data transmission knowledge.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong people skills, with a customer-oriented mindset.

- Successfully completing the Cold Bore safety orientation upon hire.
- Any site-specific orientations as required by customers.
- Telehandler/Elevated Work Platform.
