As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Aon. As a Finance Manager, you will report directly to the National Director of Finance and can be based in Vancouver, Toronto, or Montreal.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Vancouver or another Canadian office.
The salary range for this position is $82,000 - $130,000. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity.

What the day will look like
We are proud of our group's ability to support our business leaders and this role will lead standard set and evolving financial analysis requests from the business on a national scale as while keeping in mind the bigger business picture. - Create, build, and maintain financial reporting and analysis for Commercial Risk and Health solution line
- Manage and complete financial close process
- Prepare monthly MD&A, including forward looking statements
- Developing / Improving measures and production of scorecards
- Working with solution lines to manage and communicate results
- Enable and manage the process for the business to update forecasts
- Update and enter financial forecast into TM1
In this role, you will be an integral part of Canada's Finance Planning and Analysis team, a trusted advisor to regional leaders and support the National Director of Finance in leading and completing finance and business priorities in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, changing environment.
You will be viewed as a knowledgeable leader, a creative thinker and a problem solver. You have proven credibility and integrity working with both clients and teams and driving value throughout the organization. Your role will include building talent, communicating business challenges/opportunities, and demonstrating mentorship and sharing intellectual capital.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Post-secondary degree with a focus in Finance or Accounting required
- Accounting designation (CA/CPA or equivalent) is good to have
- Minimum 7 years of Accounting/Finance experience in a corporate environment with 1 year of leadership/management experience
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated technical accounting and finance competency to enable the creation of innovative solutions
- Professional, positive and influence others within the organization
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the capability to interact with leaders to cultivate and maintain strong relationships
- Strong presentation skills that engage a broad range and diverse audience
- Detail oriented but able to step back to understand and articulate the bigger picture
- Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize under the pressure of competing timelines;
- Highly advanced skills in MS Excel including pivot tables, MS query
- Experience with Workday and TM1 a plus
- Experience in the insurance industry is an asset
