About you
The Financial Analyst will perform financial analysis and other analytical work to support development management, strategic advisory and transaction management provided to companies of all sizes. The Financial Analyst will assist clients in optimizing their development management strategies by developing comprehensive financial models, conducting research, and performing analysis of proposals and client portfolios.
**This is an onsite 6 Month Contract role based in Vancouver, BC**
In this role, you will...
- Work autonomously to analyze, underwrite, and forecast cash flows and valuations using Excel spreadsheet analysis and perform complex modelling.
- Organize and present data analysis, draw objective conclusions and make recommendations to client and leadership teams.
- Conducts highest and best use analysis, including assessment of development feasibility for specific projects. Develop opinions and recommendations on potential acquisition and development opportunities through analysis of various inputs that affect overall value and liquidity of assets.
- Works a part of a team to determine development scenarios, establishes financial modeling assumptions and prepares financial outcomes. Conducts detailed market research required for the development of values such as market growth rates, sale values, rents, construction costs, and lease rates (among other key pro forma metrics).
- Maintain overall project pro formas throughout the development process, including monitoring overall project cost, financial performance, and variances from budgets.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients and SCG team.
- Conduct analyses and creates compelling reports and presentations for review by senior team members and clients. Responsible for writing and reviewing feasibility reports.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, commerce, business administration or other related degree. Professional industry credentials such as an MBA or CPA, CFA are considered a strong asset.
- At least one (1) to three (3) years of relevant work experience in financial analysis within the real estate industry.
- Detail oriented and exceptional analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of Office products, especially Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels within, as well as outside the organization.
- Ability to work seamlessly with existing team of analysts in a collaborative manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to deadlines without compromising quality.
- Adept at summarizing and presenting results of analyses to both internal consulting and client teams.
- Experience in real estate capital markets or corporate finance or a related industry is preferred.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
