THE ROLE
Working with one of Vancouver's premier developers, the Financial Analyst will be involved in overseeing Project Analysis, Accounting, and reporting for large-scale industrial, multi-family, and commercial projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of active project proformas, budgets, and cashflows including monthly reviews with the operations team
- Prepare monthly progress draws and compliance monitoring for their project portfolio
- Project-specific financing reporting
- Input actuals monthly into Project proformas and cashflows for projects
- Enter approved budgets and budget change requests
- Review direct cost entries and assist with complicated job cost reconciliations
- Assist with quarter-end and year-end project-related working papers, if needed
- Variance Analysis comparing actual project costs to budgeted project costs
- Assist with modeling of long-range planning and cashflow scenario analysis for projects within their portfolio
- Assist Finance Manager with inputs into consolidated Rolling cash flow forecasting
- Assist Accounting with monthly project WIP/COS reporting, if needed
- Prepare and review letters of credit and refundable deposits, and prepare summary reports for projects within their portfolio
- Creation of new reports through Power BI and Reflex queries, as requested
- 5 years of experience in a project-related role within the Real Estate industry
- CPA designated (preferred)
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools
