Financial Analyst

This position will report directly to one of the owners and is responsible for maintaining the financial records and overseeing all finance, forecasting, budgeting, cashflow, and various reports as required. They will be expected to advise and assist the owner in meeting our overall financial and strategic organization objectives. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative, work independently and as a team, and maintain a high level of organization within the books to ensure accurate billing for our custom home clients.

The ideal candidate is someone who is results-oriented and has an entrepreneurial mindset. Must be able to work in a changing environment as we are a growing company.

Responsibilities:

• Full cycle accounting including A/P, A/R, and account reconciliations. We have a part-time bookkeeper to help with postings and invoicing.
• Prepare all government remittances, including source deductions, GST, WCB, Employer Health Tax, and organization filing.
• Prepare quarterly financial statements and program budgets, and year-end reporting.
• Ensure A/R, A/P, and Payroll costing functions are running efficiently and accurately. Suggest systems for improving.
• Payroll processing when our bookkeeper is off.
• Ensure all government-funded programs are managed accordingly. This includes applications and requirements are followed as well as funds being distributed appropriately.
• Assist in funding proposals, claims as required
• Identify ways to improve efficiencies
• Other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Strong business acumen
• Bachelor's degree in financial management or similar experience level
• Ideally 2 years experience but willing to train the right candidate
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
