Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis as an integral part of the HCCA FP&A team, the Associate, FP&A assists the Finance Department in its role as the “control tower” of the company. The Associate, FP&A is charged with designing, and enhancing processes for month-. quarter-, and year-end managerial reports, regulatory reports, and financial and non-financial projection reports along with other ad-hoc analyses and reports to inform and empower HCCA Senior Leadership in making key business decisions. The Associate, FP&A works collaboratively with other areas of the larger Finance team and other Departments to summarize and communicate HCCA’s managerial P&L, Asset and Liability details, profitability, efficiency and productivity, and other financial and non-financial performance and projection to HCCA’s senior leaders and external stakeholders in South Korea. The position requires a strong understanding of business concepts, professional level Korean language proficiency, financial and managerial accounting, financial modelling, and comfort working under limited supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and contribute to management reporting in English and Korean to Korea Head Office, external stakeholders as well as HCCA Senior Leadership on managerial P&L and asset/liability details, profitability, efficiency and productivity reports, and other financial and non-financial information. Collaborate and coordinate with other departments to deliver unified communications to external stake holders.
Design, maintain and evolve processes for summarizing, validating, analyze data using advanced techniques including database-queries, connected pivot tables, and macro to provide valuable insights to management decisions.
Design, manage and enhance variable OPEX forecast model to support P&L forecast and ad-hoc analyses
Requirements:2-3 years of professional experience – financial/management reporting, communicating to key stakeholders and management of key financial metrics and results, financial forecasting and modelling
Financial modeling experience (building financial and business cases, OPEX projection model, OPEX Management)
Consumer finance industry experience preferred – auto finance, mortgage, credit card or banking
Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to quickly establish credibility with all role levels, both technical and non-technical; Experience in managerial reporting in Korean is highly preferred
Experience with performance monitoring tool is preferred (i.e Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise)
Experience with visualization tool is preferred (i.e Tableau and Power BI)
Expert Microsoft Office Suite user: strong Excel
Bachelor’s degree required – BA/BS in Accounting / Finance / Business / Mathematics / Computer Science
Core financial accounting and business skills; ability to establish links between operational and financial data
Superior analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills balanced with strong execution skills, exceptional attention to detail and quality
Expert Microsoft Office Suite user; strong Excel and Power Point proficiency required
Experience with large data sets and DB programming software/languages preferred (SAS, SQL, VBA macros)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have the ability to challenge, when appropriate, existing practices and continuously improve processes
Professional level Korean language skill is a must-have
