The Financial Planning and Analyst Team is looking for a self-starter who is confident, adaptable, and thrives under pressure. As a trusted consultant, you will work closely with your stakeholders to understand the problems/opportunities that they're hoping to address, assess the proposed solutions considered, and analyze the impacts to the organization in both financial and non-financial terms. You will build strong relationships with senior leaders across the organization, influence their decision-making with tact and precision, speak with confidence when challenging assumptions, and make insightful observations and recommendations that will add value to any initiative you consult on.
About the Role
- Provide financial consultations for cost-benefit analysis and measurement plans on high impact, high exposure projects to support strategic project prioritization.
- Lead post-implementation reviews in collaborative partnership with stakeholders, holding stakeholders accountable to projected efficiencies and financial outcomes.
- High-performing, resilient and collaborative professional who is eager to quickly get up to speed on new topics and engage in solving the highest priority challenges for the business, as well as the ability to confidently communicate findings in writing and/or as a presentation at all levels of leadership.
- Work effectively with all levels of staff and management, both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while delivering timely and accurate information.
- Assist in building a document library for easy reference.
- Post-secondary education in business or a related field.
- 3 years of relevant work experience in an analytical role.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification an asset.
- Knowledge of financial principles such as return on investment (ROI) and Net Present Value (NPV).
- Ability to balance and manage multiple competing priorities with different stakeholders.
- Experience in problem diagnosis, data analysis, solution development, and implementation support.
- Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and sound judgment and decision making.
- Demonstrate exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, financial modeling, data analysis, dashboarding, and light programming.
- Strong business acumen and adaptability.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and self-motivation.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Proactive communicator with excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
