First Cook

Best Western Inn on the Bay in Owen Sound is looking for a top quality line cook to assist with the planning and execution of restaurant and catering menus. We are offering full time work with guaranteed hours each week. This is expected to be a big year on beautiful Georgian Bay in 2024. Be a part of a growing business that is busy 12 months of the year.

Responsibilities include: Contributing to the planning of the menu and food preparations for a restaurant and conference space. Preparing food, ensuring all necessary food ingredients or tools are ready for use, and assisting with smooth food service operations.

• Assist with planning the menu and preparing food items, which includes specialty or seasonal offerings
• Estimating needed supplies and filing up orders accordingly
• Training staff and introducing new cooking practices to the team
• Preparing and cooking offered dishes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
