BRANCH OVERVIEW
Hosting Services is a branch of the OCIO Enterprise Services Division and provides hosting infrastructure to core government and over 15 Broader Public Sector (BPS) organizations. Hosting Services is responsible for the development of common IT services and management strategies that enhances the client's ability to meet their unique business needs. The services are delivered through a multiyear outsourced service contract with a private sector vendor with an annual value of over $80 million.
JOB OVERVIEW
To provide senior budget and accounting services for a ministry, including expert advisory services and policy and procedures development.
Job Requirements:
  • Must be a member in good standing with a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA; CPA, CGA; CPA, CMA; or CPA), issued by The Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada;
    • Note: If your designation was obtained from outside of Canada, you will need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through an applicable Canadian Accounting Association.
  • Experience in budget development and estimates preparation, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, budget monitoring, and preparation of reports for executive staff.
  • Experience interpreting legislation and conducting analytical research to support budget development and evaluation.
  • Experience analyzing financial data for variances and trends and recommending remedial action.
PREFERENCES:
  • One (1) or more years of supervisory experience.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until February 28, 2026. this temporary opportunity may become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
The position headquarters will be Victoria, Vancouver, Surrey, or Prince George.
