Job Title: Food & Beverage Server, Winery
Reports to: Winery Retail and F&B Management Team
Summary:
The Food & Beverage Server is responsible for conducting wine tastings at the Tasting Bar, executing a la carte table service within the café, leading groups on a guided tour of the Property, as well as working all Wedding, Corporate and Social Banquet Events. A Food & Beverage Server would have in depth knowledge about all Food Menu, Wine Menu and Retail items available for purchase and have the ability to offer suggestions and up sell when possible. The Food & Beverage Server will be expected to know the AEW Barista program and specialty coffees, as well as offer prompt efficient service when cashing out Retail guests. The Food & Beverage Server will also be required to help with set-up, execution and tear-down of events held within the Winery. A passion for hospitality and wine are an asset.
Job Duties:
- Must adhere to Winery grooming standards and present themselves at the start of each shift in a clean and pressed uniform.
- Approach all encounters with guests and ambassadors in a friendly, service-oriented manner, while employing service standards and exceeding guest expectations.
- Provide a professional and current knowledge of wines to guests while building relationships with clients of the Winery.
- Assist with maintaining/restocking wine retail and merchandise retail.
- Understand our a la carte menu and be able to suggest wines to pair with menu and retail items.
- Perform opening, closing and shift change duties.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or Equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Food and Beverage or retail related field required.
- Must be Smart Serve certified.
