Job Purpose
This position is a working supervisory position where you would serve as well as supervise this shift. The position would require
assistance in managerial functions such as beverage inventory counts, shift coverage and the ability to offer solutions to make
operations run smoothly. You may be called on to be the “go to person” if problems or issues occur at night when there may not
be other managers available, this would require a high level of problem solving and knowledge of the hotel and other
departments. You would coordinate closely with the kitchen to ensure special functions needs are met.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Able to lead a team, delegate tasks and oversee the shift.
Restaurant Supervisory experience is an asset.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively.
Accountable and good time management skills an asset.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
Must have server and bartender experience.
Must have responsible alcohol certification.
Duties
Oversee the day-to-day shift in the outlet.
Adjust staffing as business levels demand, including calling in or calling off shifts as needed.
Participate in department meetings, and contribute to the overall success of the F&B department.
Training new colleagues.
Monitor and ensure service standards are maintained.
Professionally handle any guest complaints that arise, striving for positive guest recovery.
Accurate cash handling experience.
Understand and maintain the reservations bookings.
Set-up and clean-up special events as needed.
Maintain and assist in achieving budgeted labour, costs and revenue.
Make improvements or suggestions to enhance guest satisfaction.
Maintain a complete understanding of the POS system.
Conditions of Employment:
Must be able to endure frequent bending, lifting, stooping, standing and walking.
Some heavy lifting and carrying of object are required. Employees should be prepared to work in an indoor and outdoor climate
with varying degrees of temperature.
Must be flexible to work both evenings and morning shifts, holidays and weekends.
As a condition of employment, you must apply and successfully receive a GPEB license from the BC Gaming Policy and
Enforcement Branch to enable you to work in the Casino.
