SalaryJoin our Food Production team located in Chilliwack, BC. We are looking for a hard-working team member for a full time position. Responsibilities will be varied as per Food Production and safety requirements and the candidate should have an ability to properly and safely operate machinery, heavy equipment and handle large loads. We are a growing business and are looking for a motivated individual with mechanical abilities, solid attention to detail, and a passion to help grow a business and be rewarded for that growth.
Base compensation will be consistent with industry standards and additional compensation aligned to production throughput and quality standards. Flexibility to work alone is a must to achieve our production goals and keep production lines going. The weekday shift schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (7.5 hrs/day).
Main Responsibilities:
- Set-up and inspect equipment on the packaging line
- Prepare 1400 kg blends – being able to pick products for the blend
- Assistant to the General Manager
- Administrative skills for plant paperwork
- Sanitation
- Shipping and Receiving
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and follow Standard Operating Procedures
Other Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures
- Can work independently
Skills & Qualifications:
- Can operate a fork lift and pallet jack
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify deviations and non-conformances
- Basic math skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Able to lift up to 30kg
Education & Training:
- Process Operators will participate in Orientation Training and relevant Technical Training.
