At Laid Back Snacks we create healthy and delicious snacks and ship them to our wonderful customers every day. You will be part of the team that’s responsible for filling this mission for us from our brand new facility in Cloverdale, Surrey.

Laid Back Snacks is a fast-growing startup company that sells delicious, healthy snack food across North America. Our snacks are sold through grocery stores, independent retail, offices, hotels, food service locations, and our online store. Online customers design their delivery by selecting from the wide variety of snacks available. Laid Back Snacks is also a company with a conscience. A portion of all proceeds goes to support feeding Canadian children in need through our partnership with the Breakfast Club of Canada. We’re working to make sure every box we deliver not only makes a difference to the person who receives it, but also in the life of someone who really needs a helping hand.

Activities and responsibilities

• Preparing snack bags for sale.
• Occasional mixing of trail mix products.
• Using a semi automatic packing machine to fill bags.
• Hand filling bags with dried fruit using a scale.
• Sealing bags using a heat sealing machine and nitrogen flush.
• Packing completed product for safe storage and distribution.
• Occasional shipping and receiving of orders.
• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of the facility.
• Basic computer work and various other activities as required.

What we’re looking for

• Must be hard-working and productive.
• Positive mindset and willingness to learn.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting 5-15 kg occasionally
• Able to commute to Cloverdale on a daily basis.
• Basically, we're looking for a great attitude. The rest can be easily learned!

This is a Part time position paying $16.75-19.50 per hour ($30k-35k), depending on fit and experience. You will be reporting directly to the Production Manager and working closely with the rest of the Laid Back Snacks team on a regular basis.
