Job Overview:
The primary responsibility of the part-time Execution Team Member role is to organize and assemble prepared food ingredients and components into the containers ultimately destined to our clients.
Shifts for this role are:
Wednesday & Friday & Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
To be successful in this role, you will ensure the quality and consistency of our products by following production quality guidelines, following standardized recipes, and by maintaining product quality through adequate handling, portioning, storage and product rotation.
Preferred candidates will be enthusiastic, dexterous, and have attention to detail.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works effectively with the kitchen team, and complying with company procedures and food safety policies.
- Reports to the directly to the Production Manager and receives daily coaching and direction from the Execution Team Lead.
- Communicates effectively daily with the kitchen team.
- Prepares daily workstation with required equipment, and keeping station sanitary and organized throughout the shift.
- Reads and accurately follows recipe instructions and amounts.
- Portioning ingredients/components accurately, following recipes and instructions.
- Performs basic food preparation duties in a sanitary and safe manner.
- Ensures ingredients are tagged, date-labeled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively.
- Keeps utensils and equipment clean and sanitary.
- Removes trash and clearing storage bins/cardboard.
- Performs other miscellaneous tasks to help the production team, as required
Requirements for the job:
- High school diploma, GED, or a suitable alternative
- At least 1 year of kitchen production experience or culinary school certification
- Excellent understanding of food preparation fundamentals
- Ability to follow recipes/instructions
- Sound understanding of food allergies and food-borne illnesses - FOODSAFE Certification Level 1 or Food Handler Certification course would be beneficial
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment as an integral part of the team
- Able to competently complete a variety of tasks and other duties as requested
- Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, squat, turn, reach, push, pull, balance and lift objects up to 25-50 pounds
- Must have the ability to stand, walk and move about for extended periods of time
- Work in cold manufacturing environment, including coolers and freezers in temperatures as low as 2-4, and -18 to -20 degrees celsius
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic mathematical skills
