We are a start up company in a shared kitchen community, located in Vancouver, BC. Our goal is to replicate high-quality restaurant meals that can be delivered to Grocery Freezers & Vending Machines near you, so it can be conveniently enjoyed at home.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting in all facets of our food manufacturing process, including but not limited to:
- Follow proper Working Schedule, Recipes, and Production Standards to ensure proper Quality, Temperature Control, and Portion Control.
- Loading/un-loading and storage of food products, ingredients, and related supplies
- Perform prep work such as Washing, Peeling, Cutting, Cleaning Vegetables, Meats, Seafood, etc.
- Mixing, Stove-top Cooking, Ice Bath Cooling, etc. by carrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, sinks, stove, cooler, freezer, etc. in accordance with safety standards.
- Packing, Unpacking, Boxing, and Labelling of products
- Set Up & Clean Up of Equipment, Machinery, and Work Areas complying to all sanitation and safety requirements
- Dispose garbage following proper procedures
- Complete related Paperwork (ex: Daily Inventory Record, Temperature Control Records, etc.)
- Follow all Company Rules, Regulations, Guidelines (ex: Food Safety, Health & Safety procedures) at all times
- Follow your Supervisors’ directions & report mistakes immediately
- Practice good personal hygiene
Pre-Requisites & Requirements:
- Reliable & Punctual to show up all scheduled shifts
- Able to work efficiently both in a team and independently
- Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate verbally
- Some Mathematical skills (basic calculations), as well as skills for taking accurate measurements and record data such as instrument readings
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 15 kg
- Be on your feet for 8 hrs/day
- Legally allowed to work in Canada
- BC FoodSafe Level 1 is preferred
- Food processing knowledge is preferred
This is a part-time position, and the company will try to make a work schedule that works best with the worker's availability.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: From $17.50 per hour
