About The Opportunity

Working as an integral part of the Ayás Mén̓men Child and Family Services Department, Reporting to the Team Leader, Food Program, and under the direction of the Primary Teachers, This position will work within the Ayás Mén̓men Food Program – areas including the Food Pantry, Growcer Hydroponic System & Food Garden. This position specifically would be working within a state-of-the-art indoor hydroponic growing system designed to grow produce for the community. This individual will be required to maintain, organize, and control the Growcer Hydroponic System by using an automated system that comes with Growcer to maintain control of the overall system. Individual will need to perform basic maintenance on the system and complete tasks such as cleaning grow trays, mixing nutrient solutions, and harvesting. Training will be provided on knowledge of the Growcer, basic troubleshooting procedures for the system, and attend weekly technical calls. Other duties will include designing and implementing planting schedules. propagate, transplant, maintain, and harvest plants, including post-harvest procedures. This person will also assist other areas of the Food Program including the S7ilhen Food Pantry, and Food Garden with supporting their program delivery & expected outcomes.

Salary: $ 45,056 - $ 49,451 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
