We are a fun, collaborative group, looking for the right fit to join our team at Southside Golf Course. We are hiring both full-time and part-time positions. This role will require you to be cross trained as a server and line cook. During our leagues and peak times, it is a busy and fast-paced environment, so we want team players who thrive under pressure without sacrificing integrity, approachability and professionalism. Experience preferred, but will train the right candidate.
Reliable transportation required as there is no public transport available
Responsibilities:
- Prepare food for service i.e., chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, portion proteins
- Taking, confirming orders and relaying to the kitchen or bar staff
- Knowledge of the POS system, menu & inventory
- Serving food & alcohol
- Cleaning workstations, restaurant and washrooms
- Setting up and executing events & tournaments
- Busing, cleaning, and resetting tables
- Quick and distinct execution of our menu items according to specifications
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of equipment and food storage areas
- Proper rotation and storage of food and cleaning supplies
- Preparing bills and processing payment
Requirements:
- Restaurant cooking or serving experience, 1 year preferred
- Tee-On POS experience, an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effectively communicate with team members
- Maintain a high-quality product in a face paced environment
- Ensure accuracy and follow procedures
- Basic food handling and preparation knowledge
- Food Handling Certification, an asset
- Valid Smart Choice Certification, mandatory
- Must have reliable transportation (located just outside of the city limits, no public transportation available).
