Holiday Inn Express and Suites is looking for a part-timeFront Desk Host to join their team!
As a Front Desk Host, you will:
- Provide excellent guest service to all hotel guests
- Participate in prompt and courteous handling of all guests as necessary, including, but not limited to check-in/check-out, telephone and personal inquiries, luggage and vehicle handling; and travel information to both internal and external guests
- Perform according to policies, procedures, quality standards, and services established by the management team for the satisfactions of guests
- Be willing to work shifts: days, nights, weekends, holidays, and as needed
- Take a calm professional approach at all times
- Verify the balance of all cash floats, credit and debit charges for the hotel
- Ensure room security by maintaining effective key control and confidentiality
- Motivate self and associates by displaying excellence in customer service
- Efficiently and effectively delivers customer services
- Address guest concerns in a positive and helpful manner and take a prompt, corrective action where necessary
- Maintain a high level of integrity by respecting the privacy of our guests and co-workers
The ideal candidate must have:
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- An understanding of the Front Desk function in a hotel, with a working knowledge of reservation systems
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent typing skills – this requires 35 words / minute
- The ability to speak in both French and English languages is a strong asset
- Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities
- Courteous telephone manners
- The ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
