Under the authority of the Supervisor and the Director of Front Office; the responsibilities and main tasks of the Front desk agent refer to the following list but are not limited to :
Responsibilities
- Always offer professional, friendly and kind service
- Make room reservations by phone, fax and email and assign rooms;
- Process all external and internal calls, either by redirecting calls or assisting the caller
- Take charge of the correspondent's request and monitor it according to hotel standards
- Have a good knowledge of all services, especially reception, housekeeping, and technical maintenance
- Serve as liaison for guests requiring information regarding all aspects of the hotel
- Manipulate and distribute faxes, voicemails and written messages for internal and external customers
- Attend people with special needs;
- Have a thorough knowledge of the hotel's emergency procedures
- Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards
- Writes various reports, letters and general correspondence;
- Complaint management;
- Follow all security policies
- Other assigned functions
Requirements
- Experience in customer service in Hospitality,
- Bilingual English-French, a third language an asset;
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving
- customer service oriented attitude;
- Must be flexible in time management;
- Very responsible and reliable
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work consistently with other colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus on customer needs, staying calm and courteous at all times
- Must be minimally available on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and another day during the week
- Computer skills in Microsoft and Opera PMS would be an asset.
- Must be available for day shift, evening and night shift (23:00 to 07:00)

Salary: $22.64-$23.67 per hour
