Job description

The Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre in Cranbrook, British Columbia is hiring!

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Front Desk, including managing and scheduling staff, handling guest inquiries and concerns, and ensuring the Front Desk area is organized and welcoming.
  • Train and supervise Front Desk staff to ensure they are providing excellent customer service, handling guest inquiries and concerns effectively, and following hotel policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain hotel room inventory and occupancy levels to ensure maximum revenue and profitability.
  • Ensure all guest information is accurate and up-to-date in the hotel's reservation system.
  • Manage the hotel's check-in and check-out processes, ensuring guests have a seamless experience.
  • Respond to guest feedback and reviews, and take appropriate action to address any concerns or issues.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments, including housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth guest experiences.
  • Monitor and manage the hotel's budget and expenses related to Front Desk operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure the hotel is providing a competitive and high-quality guest experience.

We Are Looking For Someone With:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Front Desk or management role in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle guest inquiries and concerns with tact and diplomacy.
  • Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and Front Desk operations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred) or 2-4 years Front Desk and/or night audit experience.
