Core functions

• Accounts Payable – entering vendor invoices, issuing payments, vendor remittances, and job costing allocations.
• Filing - WSIB Premiums, GST/HS , Corporate Tax, employer health tax filing and remittances
• Bank and Credit Card reconciliations, monthly accruals, financial reporting, job profitability analysis
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
• Reconcile accounts.
• Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
• Communicate professionally in all verbal and written communication.
• Perform other related activities, as assigned.

Necessary Qualifications/ Job Experience and Education:

• Post-secondary education in business/accounting field considered an asset
• QuickBooks desktop/online Accounting software experience
• 5+ years in an accounting position, preferably in construction environment.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of accounting systems and various computer programs.
• Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision and to self-manage work time and priorities.
• Able to prioritize tasks and be flexible when urgent matters arise.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Resourceful with a proven ability to complete tasks timely.
• Good work ethic with a positive attitude and desire to work as a team.
• Clean Criminal history / back check

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
