SalaryA.K. & Company (Kenora) Ltd. is seeking a skilled, licensed Gas Fitter to join our team of professionals. The successful candidate will have experience installing, repairing, and maintaining gas lines and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Installing and maintaining gas lines and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Testing and troubleshooting gas systems for leaks and other issues
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of gas systems
- Complying with all local and national building codes and regulations
- Communicating with other trades and construction personnel to ensure proper coordination of work
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Valid G1 or G2 license
- Valid A or B license and willing to apply for and obtain Ontario TSSA certification of equivalent gas fitting license
Qualifications
- Experience working with various types of gas systems, including natural gas and propane
- Familiarity with gas line installation, repair, and maintenance techniques, such as threading, soldering, and brazing
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols for working with gas systems
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Experience with other mechanical equipment and systems, including plumbing and HVAC, would be an added advantage
- A willingness to travel to job sites in Kenora and surrounding areas is required.
