General Accountant

We are currently seeking a General Accountant to join our Team.

You will become a key member of our Finance Department and will be responsible for full cycle accounting that may include bank, credit card and GL account reconciliations, accounts payable and vendor reconciliations, month end reporting, assisting with year-end file preparation and other duties as required.

You have exceptional accounting skills, understand the importance of getting the job done, but you also know how to have fun. You appreciate the value of being part of a dynamic, motivated team that works together to provide our internal customers with fantastic support.

In addition you possess:

• Diploma in accounting or equivalent
• 4 years of full-cycle accounting experience required
• Experience in a retail environment considered an asset
• Experience with QuickBooks and Lightspeed Retail
• Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Supporter of Continuous Improvement
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 20 months

Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
