Milligan Excavation & Landscaping is looking to hire a General Labourer for the upcoming 2024 season. We specialize in all aspects of mini excavation and hardscape installations and much more.
- Physical Fitness:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous physical activities.
- Endurance for prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Experience (not required but considered an asset):
- Prior experience in hardscape landscaping, concrete paver installations, and excavating.
- Familiarity with the operation of relevant tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of Materials (not required but considered an asset):
- Understanding of different types of materials used in hardscaping (concrete pavers, stone, gravel, etc.).
- Safety Awareness:
- Adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Teamwork:
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to take directions from supervisors and collaborate with colleagues.
- Communication Skills:
- Clear verbal communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members.
- Ability to follow instructions and provide feedback on project status.
- Equipment Operation (not required but considered an asset):
- Proficiency in operating common landscaping equipment such as excavators, skid steers, compactors, and power tools.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Problem-Solving:
- Capacity to identify and address issues that may arise during projects.
- Initiative to propose solutions and seek assistance when needed.
- Time Management:
- Efficient time management skills to complete tasks within specified deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Attention to detail in laying pavers, setting grades, and ensuring precision in hardscape installations.
- Ability to follow design plans accurately.

- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions.

- Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment with precision.
