```Job Summary:
We are seeking a permanent part time experienced General Maintenance worker to join our team. The General Maintenance worker will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of our facility. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to fabricate and repair equipment.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and general repairs such as plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, painting, and general carpentry work. Daily Janitorial duties such as handling waste removal, snow removal and general yard cleaning.
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly
- Respond to maintenance requests from staff and tenants in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system (will train)
- Supervise and coordinate with external contractors on work orders when necessary
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct regular inspections of fire safety systems and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Assist with snow removal and landscaping duties as needed
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in General Maintenance or a related field
- Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to fabricate and repair equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, tenants, and contractors
- Proficiency in using a computerized maintenance management system record keeping -training provided.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and best practices
- Experience working with logic controllers and other automated systems is a plus
- Welding experience is highly desirable
