Job Summary:
The Golf Course Maintenance Worker is responsible for supporting the Golf Course Superintendent in all aspects of maintaining the Golf Course grounds and associated work areas. The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn new skills and will take pride in their contribution to the high quality of the Golf Course grounds. The Golf Course Maintenance worker shall provide a welcoming experience for all members, guests and associates.
Responsibilities and duties:
Maintain and cut grass on tee boxes, fairways, roughs, fringes, and greens.
Maintain bunkers.
Use equipment such as walking and riding greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, rollers, bunker rakes, carts, push mowers and a variety of powered and non powered hand tools.
Other tasks related to the maintenance of the course.
Observe all safety practices.
Previous Golf Course Maintenance is an asset.
Work environment and Physical demands:
Work tasks are predominately preformed outdoors and involve physical strength, endurance, and manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. Requires walking and standing for long periods of time. Time will vary depending on the task. Must be able to exert and lift more than 50lbs frequently and up to 25lbs regularly. Must be able to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather.
