Grain Elevator Operator

We are looking for a Grain Elevator Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day elevator operations including handling, storing, shipping and receiving grain, maintaining elevator equipment, and adhering to safety regulations. Previous experience operating a Grain Elevator is an asset. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, detail-oriented and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly monitor and maintain Grain Elevator equipment
• Operate various types of machinery
• Perform general duties related to loading, unloading and storing grain
• Intake grain using Grain Management Software
• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service
• Maintain accurate records of operations, as required
• Work at heights and in confined spaces, as required
• Safely and efficiently perform all tasks
• Extended hours during the harvest season

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has or is willing to obtain a Working at Heights and Confined Spaces certification
• Has or is willing to obtain Grain Grading certification
• Has experience in agriculture
• Is able to operate a forklift and has a valid forklift driver’s certification
• Has the ability to climb ladders and lift over 50 lbs
• Is able to self-manage, make sound decisions and report to the owner
• Works well independently and as a team
• Is respectful to customers, colleagues and their employer
• Possession of an AZ-class license is an asset

Please note that this is a physical job that may require lifting, bending, climbing and standing for extended periods of time. The ability to work in various weather conditions is also necessary.
