Greenskeeper/General Labourer

Essex Golf & Country Club is known for being one of Canada's premier golf courses.

We are looking for motivated individuals who are available from March to November 2024 for full time employment, as well as summer students available from May to September 2024. This job entails the day to day maintenance of the entire golf course property. Our staff is mainly comprised of seasonal labourers/greenskeepers, stressing the importance of this role.

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- mowing green, tee and fairway surfaces

- the use of small engine machines to perform various tasks (includes string trimmers and backpack blowers)

- bunker maintenance and upkeep

- daily golf course set up including hole and tee marker changing

- general landscaping tasks such as watering, sodding, debris clearing, etc.

- following all health and safety protocols put in place by the club

Qualifications

- Reliable and punctual

- High attention to detail

- Knowledge of golf is an asset, but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Salary: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week
