The Grocery Associate reflects the good image of the company with exceptional customer service, while ensuring to always offer fresh and quality products. He/she works in collaboration with the members of his team, under the direction of the department manager. He/she will comply with hygiene and food safety standards, as well as health and safety regulations.

Job Description

· Advise and answer customer questions about food and prices displayed

· Provide quality customer service

· Check that each product displays the right price

· Supervise the operations of exchange and return of goods

· Ensure loss prevention

· Place, restock and rotate the goods according to expiry dates

· Receiving, labelling, and unpacking goods

· responsible for ensuring shelves are organized with product labels front facing and ordered neatly

· Stocking and restocking shelves with products requires the ability to lift boxes in excess of 50 pounds and safely move a warehouse rolling cart through the aisles of the store.

· Arrange the products according to the planograms

· Remove expired or in poor condition products from shelves

· Check items on sale

· Assist management in tracking product inventory

· Comply with the store's dress and personal hygiene code

· Comply with safety standards, wear personal protective equipment where appropriate

· Abide by food safety procedures in accordance with departmental requirements

· Ad hoc duties as assigned

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.55 per hour
