Grocery Delivery Program Coordinator

Community Support Services of Niagara (CSSN) is currently seeking a part-time permanent (25 hours per week) Grocery Delivery Program Coordinator to add to our team. CSSN is a volunteer based, not-for-profit agency providing comprehensive support services to assist seniors and adults with disabilities to live independently in their homes. Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of the Grocery Delivery program.
Responsibilities:
- Manages new requests, including determining eligibility, and completing intakes and assessments.
- Completes online grocery orders and coordinate deliveries.
- Assists with the delivery of groceries and/or in-person shopping with clients, as needed.
- Liaise with grocers and volunteers, as needed.
- Makes sure processes, forms and manuals are kept up to date and identify and implement quality improvement measures to ensure program efficiencies.
- Ensures electronic and hardcopy files are maintained.
- Monitors and follow up with clients/caregivers/volunteers to determine satisfaction with services and document results.
- Maintains confidentiality of client/volunteer information.
- Participates as a CSSN team member, promoting the agency and making suggestions for improvements.
- Attends meetings and training sessions and maintain current knowledge of client related services and agency policies and procedures.
- Maintains a courteous and friendly manner to all persons on the telephone and in-person including clients, volunteers, and outside agency personnel.
- Performs other duties and functions as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Degree/diploma in social services or a relevant health care field
· Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and as a team
· Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
· Patience, understanding and enjoy helping others
· Fluent in Microsoft programs
· Ability to speak French an asset
