Bruinsma Tree Service Ltd. is a small business in Fraser Valley Regional District, BC. We are professional, safe, fast paced and Fun!
We have ISA Certified Aborists on staff, industry leading safety programs, and new equipment such as mini skid steers and chippers. We do more pruning than removals and really enjoy the preservation of mature trees.
We are currently seeking a hard working, energetic arborist apprentice to join our team. As a arborist apprentice, you will be responsible for the pruning and removal of trees and the necessary clean up. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has a desire to learn more about the arboriculture industry. You will be part of a great team and be given lots of opportunity to learn new skills.
Responsibilities:
- Aid crew in pruning or removal of trees
-dragging/carrying branches to a chipper
-Using power tools such as chainsaws, hedgers, leaf blowers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
Experience:
- Previous experience in landscaping or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in landscaping
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
