JOB – HEALTH AND SAFETY ADVISOR

· Full Time, Seasonal, 50 hours weekly

· Hiring Location: Moncton NB – Amherst NS area

· Work Location: NB/NS, On the Road and Remote work

· Compensation package is based on experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Undertake the Health and Safety program for NB/NS business units.

· Ensure the company Health and Safety standards are attained: Daily FLRA, weekly Toolbox meetings and etc.

· Conduct site observations, monthly inspections, audits and field locates with crews

· Responsible for onboarding of new hires including coordination of the mentorship program

· Main contact person for Incident Investigations, submit reports and coordinate with Labor Board as required

· Team member of the Joint Health Safety Committee

· Research for provincial training programs

· Obtain train the trainer certification for some safety courses

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous experience as a Health and Safety advisor would be an asset

· Pursue or possess an NCSO certification would be an asset

· High School or GED Diploma required

· An extrovert personality

· Bilingual Candidates only (French/English)

· Must have good attention to detail skills

· Excellent communication in written and verbal & good interpersonal skills, professionalism.

· Proficient computer skills and thorough understanding of Microsoft office suite.

· Basic skill level with Microsoft Excel required

· Must be willing to travel

RESPONSABILITÉS

· Entreprendre le programme de Santé et Sécurité pour les unités commerciales du Nouveau-Brunswick et de la Nouvelle-Écosse.

· S'assurer que les normes de Santé et Sécurité de l'entreprise sont respectées : FLRA quotidienne, réunions hebdomadaires Toolbox, etc.

· Effectuer des observations sur site, des inspections mensuelles, des audits et des localisations sur le terrain avec les équipes.

· Responsable de l'intégration des nouvelles recrues, y compris la coordination du programme de mentorat

· Personne de contact principal pour les enquêtes sur les incidents, soumettre des rapports et coordonner avec la Commission du travail, selon les besoins.

· Membre de l'équipe du Comité mixte de Santé et de sécurité

· Recherche de programmes de formation provinciaux

· Obtenir la certification de formation de formateur pour certains cours de sécurité

· Autres tâches assignées

QUALIFICATIONS

· Une expérience antérieure en tant que Conseiller en Santé et Sécurité serait un atout.

· Poursuivre ou posséder une certification NCSO serait un atout

· Diplôme d'études secondaires ou GED requis

· Une personnalité extravertie

· Candidats bilingues seulement (français/anglais)

· Doit avoir une bonne attention aux détails

· Excellente communication écrite et verbale et bonnes compétences interpersonnelles, professionnalisme.

· Compétences informatiques maîtrisées et compréhension approfondie de la suite Microsoft Office.

· Niveau de compétence de base avec Microsoft Excel requis

· Doit pouvoir voyager
