Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures
- Provide safety training and education programs for employees to promote a culture of safety awareness
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills
- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training activities
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
- Experience in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- problem-solving and analytical skills
