Health And Safety Officer

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors within our organization. This is a critical role that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to implement effective safety protocols.

Duties:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential hazards or safety concerns

-Coordinate training, safety course and competency-based training of new hires.
- Provide safety training to employees on topics such as emergency response, hazard communication, and personal protective equipment
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills or simulations
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and other relevant documentation
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to workplace safety

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify potential risks or hazards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety protocols
- Attention to detail and the ability to implement effective safety policies and procedures
- Ability to fabricate training materials or resources as needed
