About the Compassion Network

Founded in 2013 and based in Edmonton, Alberta. The Compassion Network is a trusted emotional support to our clients, but also relay insight and ideas to the Health Care professional in charge to improve our clients’ safety and well-being.

• The Compassion Network is currently looking for HCA with 07 endorsement in their car insurance, who is willing to drive the client to several outings.
• ( Kilometres Paid)

Shifts: Tuesday and Friday 10 am-2 pm, flexible on days

Portability for hours you have already worked. With letters from previous employers, we will adjust your starting wage based on our internal Portability Wage Grid.

Key Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

• You will need to drive the client in your car. Assistance required to help the client in and out of the car.
• Take clients to Tim Hortons, Dollar Store, small shops for shopping, social visits, companionship as well as check/assist client with toileting/change of briefs before/after outings.
• Ensuring clients are safe and comfortable
• Finding creative and effective solutions to improve client's quality of life and well being
• Reporting and documenting necessary items appropriately and in a timely fashion
• Following direction and training from your supervisor
• Performing duties diligently and compassionately within your scope of practice
• Completing tasks with a high level of professionalism, expertise, and competency

Education & Experience

• Health Care Aide certificate (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• CPR/BCLS certification required
• Minimum 1-year experience in a Home Care setting considered an asset
• Basic computer literacy
• Must speak, read, and write English fluently

• Ability to meet physical demands of the job including knowledge in appropriate ergonomics
• Ability to learn and receive training in areas you may have knowledge in, but no prior experience
• Enthusiastic attitude and energy to provide excellent care and service

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Salary: From $18.00 per hour
