Location: Eastern Manitoba (STONEWALL, Community based homecare client)
Rate of Pay: $18/hr +OT
About the Client and Role:
Our client is a multi-site health authority looking for certified healthCare Aides to help their clients in the Stonewall community. As a home care healthCare Aide, you will provide personal care to clients in their home. Duties include assisting clients with bathing, dressing, light meal preparation and house cleaning, and companionship.
We are looking for Health Care Aides with a valid Manitoba driver's license, access to their own transportation, and the ability to commute to Stonewall.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Commute to clients' homes to provide outlined services on an agreed upon schedule.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding etc…).
- Change bedding, complete light meal preparation and house tidying as needed.
- Complete basic patient care documentation.
- Report any patient concerns or clinical findings to the appropriate members of the healthcare team for follow up.
- Uphold the mission and values of the client organization.
- Contribute to enhancing the overall quality of life to the patients/clients assigned to your care.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution.
- CPR certification within the last 12 months.
- Valid criminal record check with vulnerable sectors portion (within the last 6 months).
- Physical ability to work in a role which requires extended time on your feet.
- Valid Manitoba Driver's License.
- Reliable transportation.
- You must reside within Manitoba to be considered for this position.
